Muriel Toulemonde
Muriel Toulemonde has been a teaching artist at the ENSP since 2006. During her studies at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux Arts de Paris, she was marked by the great figures of video art of the 1980s and 1990s. Her work is therefore anchored in an exploration of the video medium as a temporal material and in a representation of reality that engages a perception in the long term.
The body holds a central place in this work. The filmic approach seeks to translate the idea of the body, its capacities and its limits. The artist tries to capture and make visible what constitutes the intimate temporality of individuals, beyond the social time.
For several years now, Muriel Toulemonde has been extending this research into a practice of drawing which in turn correlates movement, space and time.
Her works are regularly presented in group or solo exhibitions. Her videos are screened during specific events, notably as part of the Paris-Berlin international meetings or during the Nuit Blanche.
