Caroline Bernard
Professor since 2015 at the ENSP, she also teaches at the École supérieure d’arts appliqués (CEPV) in Vevey (Switzerland). Doctor of the University of Paris 8 in aesthetics, sciences and technologies of the arts, speciality plastic arts and photography, she is also associate professor of the School of Visual and Media Arts (EAVM) at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQÀM, Canada).
Caroline Bernard collaborated for three years with the Swiss company Think Thank Theatre. Within this framework, she co-signed the film-performance L’urgence at the Théâtre Saint-Gervais – Geneva in 2018, and the play Eromania (History X) in 2019. In addition, she works with radio producer David Collin on Espace 2, for the programme Le Labo, with whom she signed a radio adaptation of L’urgence. In June 2019, Caroline Bernard directed Eromania (God Is A Dead Smoker), a radio programme in the form of a live installation, and worked with filmmaker Fabrice Aragno and musician Joell Nicolas alias Verveine.
Together with Damien Guichard, she formed the collective Lili rang le chat for more than twenty years. Their works are often the result of a journey or an exploration of the territory on location or at a distance.
She has just spent two years on the creation and circulation of images on social networks through a research project on buzz and virality financed by the Haute école d’art et de design in Geneva (cf designviral.ch).
